Customized Wave Blades, completed in our SUPAFINISH idea veneer, have been used to create excellent ceiling focal factors for the Fountains Restaurant Modernisation on the Field Hill Institute in Field Hill, VIC.
An improve of the hospitality area on the college, integrated the 150-seat restaurant and bar, in addition to specialised instructing areas together with various business kitchens, a barista coaching room, a culinary theatre, and a specialist wine coaching area. Professional-Ark Architects have been assigned to design the intensive area and collaborated with SUPAWOOD specifically on the characteristic ceilings for the primary restaurant/bar space.
Consistent with the theme created for the restaurant design, the architect was drawn to the power of SUPAWOOD to make use of our Wave Blade product to create a water droplet, ripple-like design. Produced in our normal pure MR MDF substrate, a grooved edge was machined on the blades to create the real-wood, ply-look end.
The ultimate aesthetics of the ceiling are definitely a dramatic and crowd pleasing characteristic of the restaurant, with lighting purposes put in that throw gentle by the blades to create the reflective water droplet, ripple-like look.
